My work blends together a range of influences and materials to explore themes of deep time, fantasy, and nature. Through a process of chance and revision, using a variety of media including drawing, digital media, traditional printmaking, and new-media fabrication, I synthesize a disarray of visual information into a final image that dissolves linear narrative and solidifies abstraction.
At the heart of my work is a spiritual connection to nature through queerness. I am inspired by the natural phenomena that shape our world and how our desires and experiences can be distorted and altered by the forces of nature. By blending history and fantasy, I create images that have political and phenomenological effects, exploring the intersection of nature, queerness, and the human experience.
